We are super excited to officially announce the opening of our, greatly anticipated, new trail, Karstaway This beautiful 1.25km multi-use trail weaves its way through a mature, mossy mix forest, along the edge of a Doline Karst Landscape. The trail creates a great new loop option off of the Comeau Lake Trail to Comeau Lake.
Thank you to the department of Communities, Culture, Tourism, and Heritage, along with the Municipality of East Hants for funding this project. Thank you to TrailFlow Outdoor Adventures for their great vision and construction of Karstaway.
Last but not least, kudos to our volunteers who lopped roots, transported material and cleared trees after our wind storms to get this trail opened.
This week/weekend would be a great time to check out the trail(s) while the trail tread is frozen, not soft and prone to damage.
