Live Oak is a fall line Downhill trail off of North Rim. It's one of the more steep and gnarly trails in the park and is subject to erosion. Steep, loose dirt, rock gardens, and loose 'babyheads'. Not for the faint of heart, but making it down in one piece is always a good rush This trail is hardest to ride in the summer when Chico sees no rain and the dirt loses all moisture content making it looser.

Loose, steep, and not much maintained. Not exactly what you want to hear, but low tire pressure makes this trail pretty fun. There are a few different line choices in the upper part of the trail, some easier than others.

Skip the other two fall line trails (Cave and Red Bud) and just hit this one. Pretty crazy, steep and loose, but feels like a mountain bike trail.

We hope you've been enjoying Trailforks!
