Lone Pine is a bi-directional single track that runs south to north, and connects to several other area trails. The trail begins with a short steep climb before turning moderately downhill when ridden from south to north, and becomes steeper and rockier near its southern end. At roughly the halfway point of the trail Pinyon Trail splits off, stay left if riding the trail from south to north. Lone Pine intersects Mighty Mule and FR 13 on the south and Bear Scat and Gear Grinder on the north.
