Mighty Mule is a bi-directional single track that runs north to south, and connects to several other area trails. The trail tends slightly uphill ridden from north to south, but either direction features some descending and climbing. The trail is typically smooth with a few significant rocky sections interspersed. Mighty Mule intersects Chamisoso and FR 13 on the north and Rattlesnake on the south.
