Smooth and fast is the name of the game 6.6mi loop of the McKenzie Ranch competitive race course. Please ride clockwise. It is the responsibility of all non-bike riders in all directions and riders traveling the opposite direction to yield to those riding clockwise.

Lozen Loop is named after Lozen (c. 1840-June 17, 1889), a female warrior and prophet of the Chihenne Chiricahua Apache.

Great trail! It’s a very nice break from the typical sand and cactus. The climbs is definitely worth it for the DH you get in return. Excellent Burms. Overall a great quality trail! Will be in me and the wife’s normal rotation.

Very fun trail. Climbs rewarded with fast and flowy downhills. The gravel road up to the trailhead is quite bumpy. In higher elevation so less cactus hazard.

The worst part about this trail is the very rough gravel road to get there. Better to park near paved road and ride up via hohokam trail. Once there you’ll find the trail flowy and fast. Scenic too as it’s about 4,000 ft elevation.

       Pro:
There are a few sections that flow okay
      The view is nice

      Con:
      Not very hard tail friendly
Feels like the majority is an uphill battle
      Trails are narrow sandy
