Northwoods Trail between Wallsville Rd and Austin Rd is a premier downhill segment at Lackawanna State Park. The first third is smooth singletrack on rolling hills. The middle third is considerably more technical: large roots, a ford through a small stream, chunky rock bridges over muddy areas. The final third is a fast-and-steep descent through a hemlock forest.
