Itinerario alla testata della Val Breguzzo che dal Pian di Redont permette di raggiungere più direttamente il Passo di Breguzzo senza passare dalle Porte di Danerba. Dal Pian di Redont dove transita l'itinerario 223 si percorre il sentiero 261 (SdP) che rimonta un largo costone in direzione della Bocca della Cunella fino a quota 2200 circa. Qui si imbocca sulla sx la traccia che taglia diagonalmente nel pascolo alla base di un macereto e va ad attraversare due ripidi canaloni che presentano alcuni brevi tratti leggermente esposti. Si prosegue verso O alzandosi gradatamente fra i verdi terrazzamenti intersecando alcuni ruscelli che scendono dalla banconate granitiche sottostanti i profili frastagliati dei Creper della Val Breguzzo. A quota 2300 si supera il bivio col segnavia 253 diretto a dx alla Bocchetta del Cop di Casa e si continua, prima fra l'erba e poi su terreno via via più sassoso, che più in alto diventa pietraia e campo roccioso di granito levigato dall'azione glaciale. Giunti poco sotto la cresta a nord del valico, si incontra l'incrocio con il sentiero di guerra che correva sotto la linea del fronte austroungarico della Prima guerra mondiale e, lasciato a dx l'itinerario 253A per la Bocchetta di Cop di Casa, si cala leggermente arrivando infine al Passo di Breguzzo ad inserirsi sull'itinerario 223. Numerose le testimonianze della Prima guerra mondiale con i resti anche di un cannone austriaco.
