mtb Rode the entire trail counter clockwise from Crossover trail. Sandy sections were very ridable on my fat tire bike. Non-sandy sections in good shape except for a couple of the climbs on the wash crossings. Very Dryview

mtb Recent rains has roughed up many of the wash crossings on the east side from Gadsden to Homestead. The southern east/west sand portion was very soft, had to use a lot of effort while heading downhill on my fat tire (3.8") bike. North to Crossover trail much sandier than in the past. Variableview

mtb 2 days of rain. Trail is in epic condition. All the washboard is gone and sand is smooth and firm. Idealview

mtb Even after a decent rain the lower portion of Pedersen is still tough sledding. Probably fat bike only here. The sand also feels somewhat graded so even completely soaked wouldn't be that smooth of a ride. Homestead and Gadsden are fun though, and the rest of Pedersen is great. Idealview

mtb Large cactus down across trail between Toothaker and the Pirate's Connector. 2 mile east/west sand section has lots of soul draining washboard. Idealview

mtb Large palo verde tree down across trail, blocking trail in a narrow wash south of Gadsden. Had to carry my bike and climb a bit to get around. Also, I thought with all the rain the sand would be rideable, it isn't! Found an old two track ranch road headed north that connected with Homestead - great escape route. Idealview

ebike Those straight lines are just soft soft sand, not fun. The single track was good, even when part of the last 1/3 went through a Jumping Cholla field.. hehehe Very Dryview

mtb Way too sandy to ride. I made the mistake of pushing through, and the trail took hours to complete. The sections at either end of the trail are fun and curvy singletrack, but for a good 3-5 miles the trail is full of sand and impossible to ride. Not worth it. Very Dryview

mtb The eastern north-south singletrack section is nice, but as others have indicated the road portion is super sandy and not worth it. I turned around and did an out and back, which was fun. Very Dryview

mtb EXtreme sand while heading east. Requiring a backtrack so could not do the loop on pederson. Very Dryview

mtb Going in a clockwise direction from the south intersection with Homestead all the way to where Homestead and Pedersen reconnect it is again nearly impossible to ride. Sand is deep and swallows tires, maybe a beach cruiser would work though?! Dryview

mtb The trail has been reworked in the last few months. Nearly all of it is up out of the wash now. The park has been listening to the requests of their user group.

mtb The southwest portion of this trail is not a trail at all. Mostly a sandy wash. Connect from Gadsden and ride south as an out and back it is great. Mostly Maricopa Parks trail standard of 4ft but singletrack does exist in some sections. Stay away from Homestead as well unless you like sand. reporter Dryview
