Hand-built singletrack that weaves its way around Power Island. This is a relatively flat trail with some rocks and roots along the way and is a decent option for beginners though a select few rocky sections may be challenging. Can be ridden in either direction, but clockwise will give you a nice section of flowy turns at the end of the loop.
Ride over the historic rail trestle on the rail trail (shared with ATVs in summer) or avoid the ATVs by parking under the trestle on Northbound side of Rt. 16 and walk across the pedestrian bridge under the trestle. If you are under the trestle, the trail begins a few hundred yards to your left after you walk down the ramp, if you have ridden over the top, the closest access point will be on your right as you ride along the rail bed toward the power canal.
Rail Trail on Power Island is open to ATV/OHRV use end of May to October.
