Easy climbing single track, fairly narrow in places but with generally wide switchbacks and good gradient. Mainly used, along with AMP connector, to get back into the main part of the park after riding Vertigo or Trickle Falls if you don't want to ride up Snake Charmer (the 4wd road).
Built by Mark Kent, Local Residents, Makara Peak volunteers and AMP in 2007-2008.
From end of St Albans Ave, ride past the gate on to the 4wd track (aka Snake Charmer) Rimu starts on the right about 100 metres up the road after the second bend. From Allington road it's a bit trickier to see - at the very end of the cul-de-sac there is a narrow trail jammed up against a fenceline to get past a newer house. The track widens out slightly after about 20 metres once last the house.
