From the original old Roots has come the Resurrection. This is an option as you head down Hyperextension, as it allows you (for a brief section of uphill) to get back onto Montane and finish your ride on single track down to the old barn. If you carry on down Hyperextension and then Roots Extension , it takes you onto River Road and then a Coal Creek Road ride back to town.

Caution, as there is a very exposed potential drop off the right hand side (for descenders) not far off the trail. There's a vertical drop to a road. The trail itself isn't that challenging but the consequences of veering off trail could be serious.

Access Info

Keep an eye out on Hyperextension about 3/4 of the way down, immediately after you cross a dirt road, there is a left. Alternatively, turn left on the dirt road and avoid an unpleasantly sharp climb.

Trail is snow covered, but ground is no longer as firm as in winter. Use caution as snow melts as riding when soft can cause trail damage.

Use to love this trail when it was reborn, rode it a fair bit in 2019, I even helped on a dig night to fix it, but sadly no one rides it anymore and therefor has become overgrown and very loose dirt (from no traffic). Rode it today, sad to see. But great views still prevalent!

We hope you've been enjoying Trailforks!
