**Note: a wildfire burned most of the area in 2023 which has significantly changed to feel of the trail. Although volunteers have been clearing deadfall, brush, and grass on an ad hoc basis, expect occasional new deadfall, brush, grass, and a trail bed that's sometimes difficult to follow. There is still great riding to be had but don't expect a well manicured trail Smile
This trail forms part of the newly resurrected Stomp Classic XC race loop. Typically (and much more fun) ridden from north to south, this trail has a lot of fun, moderate rock faces and natural rock features. Intermediate riders will enjoy a bit of a challenge.
Check out the "Stomp Mini Loop" route for a good 12-km ride that starts several kilometres up the McConnell Lake Forest Service Road.

This is actually two trails- Hornet, a climb that also connects to the slabs (multi directional) and Royal Wedding, a descent.

        Great shape though
