This Stomp trail has been revived recently with great single track and rock features and views around Stake lake. Note: first-time riders should be aware that this trail is fairly remote, and has limited to no cell phone coverage. Be prepared and self-sufficient. Riders should review the two routes, "Stake Lake Stomp Race 2018 - full route", and "Stake Lake Stomp Race 2018 - Mediator 21 km route" for full access and exit directions. The section of this trail up to Hornet is Blue rated. The section after Hornet is Black rated, and includes technical rock faces. Riders wishing to avoid these technical Black features should opt to exit onto Hornet and Royal Wedding.

Only about 8km of singletrack exists on this "trail". Most, especially through the clear-cut, is rough, overgrown, and difficult to follow. The doubletrack return (riding clockwise) is riddled with mud holes. Most can be ridden around, but many cannot. I would recommend avoiding until significant improvements are made.

Great trail. The trail is well marked and well maintained. It has received significant upgrading and traffic. There are also extension to the trail in the works.

It is obvious that tons of work went into this trail and is much appreciated. BTW, I found a pair of sunglasses near a point of interest. If you think they are yours PM me.

Best rock rolls i have ridden in the Kamloops area, would consider this a challenging trail for the strong intermediate rider. Bring your fitness. Great job by the builders!
