SaveThis area includes the revitalized portion of the old Stake Lake Stomp XC race course, plus the new trails Hornet and Royal Wedding. Good, old school riding - don't come here looking for flow or manicured trails
This area is higher elevation than many of the other trails around Kamloops - it can be cooler in the summer heat, but also slow to dry out in the spring. Note, there is little cell coverage in the area, and some of the rock features are committing - look before you leap and consider riding with a buddy, because help can be long way away.
** most of the Stomp Black, Royal Wedding, and Hornet were affected by a wildfire in 2023. The area is now more open, and dries out earlier in the spring. Volunteer maintenance efforts have kept the trails open and rideable, but be aware that new undergrowth can obscure parts of the trails, and you have a good chance of encountering some deadfall. But the riding is still great.
