    Rec Sites and Trails BC

The Stomp trail has been revived over the past several years thanks to dedicated volunteers, with great single track and rock features and views around Stake Lake. Note: first-time riders should be aware that this trail is fairly remote, and has limited to no cell phone coverage. Be prepared and self-sufficient. Riders should review the two routes, "Stake Lake Stomp Race 2018 - full route", and "Stake Lake Stomp Race 2018 - Mediator 21 km route" for full access and exit directions. Although technically easy, we have rated this first section of the Stomp as a Blue trail due to the remoteness of the area, and the length of ride required to access the trail, and ride out afterwards. The section after the Hornet intersection is Black rated, and includes difficult technical rock faces. Riders wishing to avoid these technical Black features should opt to exit onto Hornet and Royal Wedding.
