Trail 785 can be used to gain the ridge at Minton Pass if you are biking a loop on the Trout Creek Recreational Trail. It leaves from a well marked sign post off Forest Road 214 at the bottom of the drainage. This is about the only part that is well marked. The trail crosses the dry stream bed and then it requires a bit of route finding through the woods. Hopefully the gps track will help with that. Once you find Minton's Grave, it is easy to follow after that. That is also where it gets harder to ride. There were a substantial number of trees down, and lots of brush. The steep part is definitely a hike-a-bike that is grunt worthy. As you can see from the profile, it gains a lot of vertical quickly. Riding the other direction would be a fun downhill trail, but make sure the trees have been cleared ahead of time.
Access Info
Bottom of the trail is off Forest Road 214 and the top hooks into Minton Pass and Forest Road 2219 then Forest Road 322 (Minton Peak Guard Station Road)
