The trail gets its name from an especially mysterious tree at the "end" (or start if you are daring) of this trail at the 30% grade slope that is surrounded by a deep "troll forest" like mossy spruce forest. The slope is of course the unique feature of this trail and is not for the light hearted rider. The slope is rideable in both directions with any bike and offers only a few roots and pebbles as resistance.
