Due to the lack of elevation it descends at a pretty gentle gradient to a saddle two-thirds of the way down, before a short climb and traverse over to Vertigo. Changes have been made to improve the trail speed and add more features. There are some optional doubles you can hit, and a few rocky features that some riders may prefer to work their way up to. At the saddle is a small step down followed by a table top. If it’s blowing a gale, you might want to save it for another day.
Whā Out was designed by Southstar Trails and built by TGL Contracting Limited with funding from Wellington City Council. Recent upgrade works have been completed by Total Trail Solutions and Mākara Peak Supporters volunteers.
