Only thing that makes this trail suck are the motorcycles. One of the best rides around. Offers tech, flow, climbing and oooh the views of Timp are phenomenal. But seriously, motos have got to go somewhere else.

Very tough climb to clean. *Very* fun downhill. I encounter hikers just about every time, so definitely check your speed at blind spots. Also a bit exposed in some spots where a crash would be pretty bad.

Crazy good fun; makes for a great finale if you’re parked at Pine Hollow TH. Just be mindful of hikers here; I encounter a few almost every time. One section with a bit of exposure on the south side.

The DH on first section coming down from Sagebrush Flat is okay, but not really worth the steep-ass climb back up to where the trail crosses the road. After the road crossing, you get a fun flowy section, short climb up to Julie Andrews meadow, and then an awesome descent; loamy and then CHUNKY.

Large rocks, ruts, and roots. Not rideable up. Hike a bike 80%. Probably manageable to go down.

An awesome road with the exception of the the final mile which turns into a dust pit. Great for XC bikes. Gravel bikes will also like this route, just avoid the last mile.

I don't think this trail rates a double black rating. It's not a very hard trail to ride, but it does have some decent exposure. Single black would be an accurate depiction of what this trail is.

The first bit is difficult on a dirtbike but doable. Long sections of loose rock, after that it’s pretty fun. Bear canyon spur can be used as an alternate route that’s easier, less likely to destroy the trail spinning out. Might be better to do that if it’s your first time and then ride down Chris Flat to get an idea of what you’d be in for.

(5/4/2020) The trail is great from the rock pile to the ridge overlooking down into dry canyon. However, the transition to dry canyon is over grown and the trail eroding. I walked half of this section. It was beautiful and there are three washes that had avalanche snow in them.

This used to be a favorite ride for me when I lived close by about 6-10 years ago using the ridge and South Fork Little Deer Creek for a fun loop. Was really disappointed to find out how bad the motorcycles have ripped this section up. The ruts have gotten deeper but the baseball sized rock issue makes me not want to return.

This used to be one of my favorite trails and I rode it often over the last decade when I lived close by. This was my 1st visit in about 5 years. I went up and did the same loop of the Ridge trail to here and was really sad to see how much motor cycles have ripped up this section. It used to be quite flowy and smooth but now is still ride able but lots of ruts, big exposed root and silty, sandy sections. Won't be coming back here for a while

It has been a few years since I rode this trail, but I was looking for an adventure so we gave it a shot. As others have said, it is severely overgrown. But it is also suffering from serious erosion, many washed out sections from thunderstorms. It is very steep in places and just not designed for bikes. I would estimate we hike-a-biked half of the trail, and I will never ride it again. Unfortunately there just isn't a good way to get up to the plateau above Pleasant Grove, all the canyons are super steep.
