Two Loops: one on Bear and one on Red. I rode Bear first, but you could do Red first as it is a little more technical. Advise cutting out Merv's on BEar and instead riding Smoking Bobo at the the end of Lorax and then climbing back up the road BR SA 100 to Bear Back (note: Lorax appears as a straight line on this map as my GPS was not functioning on this trail). Also note: BAre Buns is the climbing trail at the top of BTLC. A new trail as of Oct. 2015.

Trails on this side of the mountain were not enjoyable. Did jolly rancher and baggins. Have not had a ride in the Fraser valley that I enjoyed less in my 6-7 years of ridding. Note that I am more of a decent focused rider. Unless you are riding purely for exercise avoid these trails.

@jules16 there is one section that has a easier way around that might be double black but its really nowhere near pro line its a single black and super fun

This trail feels pretty sketchy, but it's freaking fun! Top end could use some fresh dirt and a trim, but I'm not complaining as the steep loose rooty shoot is a blast to bomb down, lower half is more flowy but still rough and old school feeling. Good one to end the day with.

Trail Luge
Its running alright after the storms, lots of loose rock and some wet spots at the bottom where it meets sorcerers apprentice, could use some love near the bottom at the tight corner. Still a fun fast natural feeling trail.

So far as I'm aware the gate is always locked. It's a relatively short and easy pedal up unless you're on a DH bike

Can you shuttle to the trailhead of this one and other DH trails in the area/on the mountain?

EDIT: I see there's a gate saying you cannot.

Very fun trail for those you like fast, technical, loose and rocky. Rideable for both hardtail and dually. Blue difficulty. All ladders or drops can be rolled.

Awesome trail. Pretty challenging in spots but good flow and variety overall. I'd avoid it in the wet.

Trail gets pretty sketch in the top half but is totally worth doing!... if you’re in the mood for careening down a rock slide riddled w roots and the odd drop. At least there are no surprise switchbacks... pretty straight. Then just after the intersection w BTLC it swoops through some beautiful woods, and gets really flowy! W the odd root drops. Overall this trail is for those who want to find their tech limit and then truly appreciate the flow below.

Really should be rated a blue in it's current condition. (I thought it at one time was) I can't imagine a beginner being able to climb this.

It’s a black trail. Fun with couple challenging lines, but it’s a single black diamond.

Trail Merv's
First timer here. I just completed merv’s it was fun but pretty hard for me, I had to get off a lot. It’s marked as a BLUE run and not green. Since it’s the only run I have done I can’t say if it easier or harder than a green.

Thanks for the heads up. Probably more of a green run with a blue streak, but one of the easier trails. Granted creek crossing, and some other sections are challenging for a novice rider.

Trail Bigguns
Fun trail, steep descents with punchy uphill that is short but somewhat challenging. In total is fun, but there is a section that borders on a clear cut that is fall line that has dragged a whole bunch of rocks into the bottom, loose baby heads. I’m not averse to a challenge but Lorax was so much more enjoyable.

Trail Momentum
This isn't a two way trail in it's entirety and should be noted as such in at least the description. There are a couple sections above Black Tie that i'd be surprised if many, let alone any, could clean. Even below Black Tie there are a handfull of root ledges etc that will have a a lot of people unfamiliar with the trail off the bike IMO/E. I'd put this on the easier end of the black scale going down from the top and going up to black tie.

Trail Big Red
I loved this unique trail! It seems to follow a century-old logging road that was blasted through the rock. Rocky but very little rubble is what makes it so special. So you end up with a long drawn-out gradual rock staircase down through the forest, matted with pine needles. Just keep moving and you never have to put your feet down as you fly down the mountain picking your way over and around obstacles. Just a blast. As an added bonus, the forest seems to strangely enclose the trail, creating a tunnel effect.
Way better than Red Rider or Momentum.

Upper half before it crosses the green is a disaster of loose rocks and pointless obstacles (1/5). Lower half is better but still not awesome (3/5), maybe worth doing short laps on from the green if you're short on time I guess.

Trail Super Bear
So much fun, it's fast and flowy, barely touched the brakes cause everything is burmed nicely and jumps launch into transitions really well. You can ride out the doubles if you don't think you'll clear the gap cause the gap is still trail which is nice for first run on a new trail. I've been on some doubles where the gap is debris and rocks and roots so you have to clear it first time.
