Crow ATTACK! Be careful just before "This Bud's for you" trail. Crow came cawwing at me several times. Maybe a Mama protecting her nest?

Very very beautiful trail ! There’s awesomeee technical but always a way down it easily and it’s supposed to be a hiking trail, but if it’s hikeable it’s bikeable !

This is still my all-time favorite trail. I’ve been riding everywhere and every trail for 27 years now and I’ve never gotten bored of The Abyss. It’s XC and it’s dry, packed full of arbutus trees, beautiful views, easy rolls, techy climbs, bunny hop rock gaps, and just overall radness. There’s not much soil in this area and it’s mostly this ultra grippy sandstone. The entire area is like this. It’s kiiiinda like the XC in Moab but with more trees and a tiny bit more soil. So fun. I will never stop riding this trail.
