From the north end, Apache crosses two streams, and is muddy and narrow, paralleling Colvin Run. The trail becomes drier as you hit the grade reversals and the new reroute away from the stream. Technicality increases, culminating in a tricky rock feature, and then makes a left over the creek before ending at a four-way intersection with Rails to River and Copperhead Connector.
