Interpretive loop trail with signs describing the various aspects of ecology and forest management. A short spur Trail connects it to the Taylor Creek trail #1142. Trail passes through a meadow as well as lush forest. Two bridges are out, so wet creek crossings are necessary. Trail is mostly flat with some easy grades. Mostly used by hikers.

The main trailhead is on the Burned Timber Creek road off Forest Service road 25 (Taylor Creek) spur road 045. Trail can also be accessed from the Taylor Creek trail
