You'll need a chain guard, as parts of this aren't really rideable. If you end up on Milky Way Lower and Green Door lower, you'll need salt to conserve your strength, stamina, and control for Green Door Lower which includes some creative rockwork through the switchbacks. If you start out at the bike shop and work your way to the Rock Cut Pub, have a beer and load up on water as you really need to conserve your strength for what comes at you nearing Warfield.
