A technical, x-country classic, the Full Monte - Coffee Run circuit was hand built by the KCTS in the summer of 2003 and is mandatory riding for advanced riders who appreciate lively, old-school singletrack loaded with natural and man-made features. This quintessential Rossland trail is rocky and rooty and home to some of the longest skinnies and bridges within the KCTS network. Good bike handling skills are essential as this trail constantly undulates through mountain forest north of town, linking tight, twisting corners with short rock slabs and brief uphills. Coffee Run brings riders back around towards the Mining School in Happy Valley, on more engaging, x-country singletrack with a touch of freeride. The terrain is more moderate and flowy, amidst open forest and bouldered ground.
The Full Monte trailhead begins halfway along the Techno Grind trail. Most riders commence from the Centennial trailhead, ride Centennial trail to Drifter and then climb lower Eddie J and then the Monte Christo Rd (1 km) to start Techno Grind. Techno Grind drops quickly down the north side of Monte Christo Mtn before turning onto a short section of logging road. The Full Monte trailhead can be found 250 m along the logging road and begins with a short, but energetic climb up to a small rise where most riders pad up. As soon as the descent begins, riders face a series of wooden bridges that bounce along a winding trail. There's plenty of features to follow as Full Monte almost imperceptibly turns and twists and makes full use of the natural terrain. Elevation is mostly lost as the trail weaves through different vegetation zones and several rock gardens and eventually falls onto the Coffee Run. Turn right onto the Coffee Run trail
