Middle Mountain Trail is where you’ll reach the high point of Douthat State Park. It's also the pinnacle of the Douthat State Park - IMBA Epic.

The trail transcends from the monotonous hardwood forest of Stony Run into into moss and lichen covered rocks and trees, a surreal landscape.

The majority of Middle Mountain is a fast cruise across a ridge through the trees. You might feel like you’re riding through a scene from Lord of the Rings.

The trail connects with Salt Stump on the far north end.

Leaf cover but rideable until the last 1/2 mile. Headed down is best to walk.

Very tall grass for most of the trail. Can barely see the trail. It’s rideable and adds to the adventure. Just be sure to check for ticks. I...
