Pines is one of Kingdom Trails’ Top Ten trails in the Trailforks Global Trail Rankings. The ranking is done by an algorithm that takes into account a number of uniform criteria that defines popularity amongst trail users world-wide. One of Kingdom Trails’ iconic trails, it is a must do
Pines is an awesome, fast and flowy, yet tight and twisty technical trail through a pine forest. Be aware of a few very tight turns and avoid having your bars clipped when you squeeze between trees close to the trail. It has a number of tricky, steep technical descents towards the bottom end, complicated by some interesting bridge work and downhill berms near the bottom intersection with the Vast. The trail surface is generally solid, yet variable with some roots and loose over solid in places. A great trail.
Access Info
Pines runs from Bill Magil at the top to the Vast at the bottom. Halfway down there is a chicken run connector off to the right, towards Widow Maker.

Although this trail is shown as a climb, it makes for a fun decent going the other way. The best part is near the end, where you cross a craggy rock section into some sweeping corners with a small jump.
