Solar Coaster is the crown jewel of the Paine Basin Trail System and is the anchor leg, third, for the Ulysses Ride. Tweested Seester drops you onto the single track which follows a beautiful desert. valley down to Nanny Creek Pond. As the name suggest it is a winding rollercoaster trail that is popular Strava segment (record 7:15 by Jeremy Kough) The trail is really intermediate except for a segment with some small rock drops and a wall ride and winds down through pinyon pine, juniper, and white fir forest with a few aspen at the pond. Solar Coaster can also be accessed from the east by taking Lupine, Cathedral and Six Mile Road trails

Solar Coaster is well known to the locals that ride this area. It is an epic downhill section. It is actually longer than show here. The higher drop in point can be accessed from the 6 mile road. Hopefully it will be created soon on this app. It does drop you into a private ranch but the Rancher, Kem, is a very nice man and is a mountain bike enthusiast.
