I really enjoyed this trail despite some spots with 6 inches of gravel. How that stuff manages to gather in the top of berms yet manages to bind up under your tires is a mystery of physics.
There are some excellent optional lines off to the side, not marked on the map. Specifically, towards the end is a short but steep rock roller which is much more worthy of a black designation than the so called "Buck Gulch Tech" line shown here on Trailforks.

Beginner/intermediate perspective. I rate it 4/5. Fast, flowy descent with some cool rock rolls and features. Lots of loose gravel ready to ruin your day; a staple of Buffalo Creek. Small climb towards the end followed by the steepest grade of the trail. There's a drainage issue towards the end of the trail (V-shaped section) that would make it very easy to slide out if ridden wrong.
