Better riding than the 401, not as pretty but still some nice views. She's steep!

I parked and started at the Snodgrass trailhead (Snodgrass was kinda fun) which takes you to Washington Gulch. That's a good length climb, easy for 75% then kinda pitchy toward the end when you finally arrive at the start of 403, then that's a bit of climbing itself before you get to the descent which was a good time. I did lower 401 from there, then got back on the Gothic road back to the Snodgrass trailhead. I'd say this trail is rowdier than 401 and not as rowdy as Dr Park. Worth doing but not as much bang for your buck as Dr Park, for sure.

June 23 2024 still a few spots of snow in the switchbacks from the trailhead. The decent is littered with downed trees and snowpack for the first half. We spent over an hour punching potholes through the snow and trying to track the trail. Lower half of the decent below rock creek is good to go with only one downed tree.
