Great alternative to riding up Lower Rock Creek Rd for the full loop. Look for the old corral adjacent to the switchback immediately after the fire station.

Multiple sections with sand deep enough to make pedaling uphill just about impossible. Pretty good coming down tho.

So much sand. A little tricky to follow at times. Lots of rattlesnakes this time of year. Eventually bailed out tired of mushing through sand.

If you like flow, berms, and a little bit of rock LRC is your trail. If you want a bumpy, quick, and more straight DH that is technical, then Wagon Track is the one for you. Lots of rock slab and chunk in the middle of this ride. The end bit is fast and fun in the sand. Definitely a bit more bumpy so could lower your tire pressure a bit. Definitely cool views and a bit different than lower LRC. Technical rocky trail

I wouldn't call this a "great" alternative to Lower Rock Creek Rd. Ride up Lower Rock Creek itself - it's challenging in spots, but worth it. I'd definitely stay off the road tho - not much of a shoulder, so you're very close to the cars going by.

I actually enjoyed riding down this trail more than Rock Creek. Its quite rocky and sandy in places, but is overall faster with a more consistent grade. There are also some fun technical features and small jumps.

We hope you've been enjoying Trailforks!
