Save**Important note: This trail network is subject to seasonal closures: the entire network is closed for the winter season, typically starting in November. The east side of the network, (everything east of the pipeline right of way), including the parking area at the end of Hugh Allan Drive, usually opens in mid April. The west side of the network (everything west of the pipeline right if way), including the two parking areas off of Lac Le Jeune Road, typically remains closed until mid to late May. The Pineview Recreational Trails Project is a collaborative initiative between cycling-focused not for profit organization the Kamloops Mountain Bike Trail Association (KMBTA), the business sector (led by KGHM-Ajax), and the provincial government (Province-FLNRO).
These trails are established and have a cross section of private ownership and designated usages, there is a shared commitment to integrating responsible recreational activities. E-bike use is restricted to Class 1 e-bikes only - pedal assist only, no throttle controlled ebikes are permitted (with exceptions for Class 2 adaptive MTBs - these are permitted).
This agreement is a step towards ensuring the long-term viability and legacy of ranching, one of the central land uses that has sustained Kamloops for over a century, while reinforcing the strong recreational culture of the area. Pineview is the perfect place for this to occur.
Over 50 kilometers of of trails are available, all built and maintained by volunteers and the KMBTA. Pineview is the perfect place to enjoy fantastic trails in Kamloops. The network is closed during the winter season, typically from late November until conditions allow in the spring.

The original trail head is at the parking area at the very end of Hugh Alan Drive, where the houses are in the 2000s. This trailhead is best for accessing rhe eastern side ofvthe network.
There are two newer, larger parking areas and trail heads off of Lac le Jeune Road - one near the bottom of the Triple Lumen climb, and a second one at the start of the Ironmask loop. These are both good for accessing the western part of the network.
