Beef Camp, or Forest Service trail 102 is a mix of wide single track and some 4 wheeler width double track. It is a great way to access the ridge above, and trails 101(Evolution), (103) Jewel Gulch, and more. The trail itself is a pretty steady climb with some fun mellow tech sections thrown in here and there.
You can park at the base of 2 Mile Road, head up 2 Mile Road, which becomes NF-271 when you leave the pavement. The road is pretty rough, and steep, you'll want to keep an eye out for the unmarked trail head on the left side of the road on a right hand corner.
