Much of this trail follows old woods roads, including multiple sections with sustained grade climbs. The trail is a mix of single track and logging roads. A portion of the trail is designed as single track following rolling grades. The unmaintained forest road(class 4) is more like a rocky double track and keeps things lively. Near the southern end, the trail passes through a large abandoned field with spectacular views. Keep an eye out for bears as they have been spotted in the area.
