Getting brushy in places especially the huckleberries near the top and in the lower avalanche meadows. Tread has been affected in places by a moto and some erosion from the winter rains, just be mindful there are some new/bigger holes and more loose rock this year. There is snowfield right at the beginning of the hike a bike section that you have to sidehill. It’s not long, it’s difficult, but as the last report said, very doable if you go slowly. The rest of the hike a bike, and remaining trail were clear of snow. There were a lot of bugs and it was a little muddy in a couple of spots. Overall, the trail conditions seemed like they were pretty ideal. Super fun descent with a lot of loose, but fun to ride tech. While there are some steep pitches, the gradient is in a nice goldilocks zone. | Variable | view | |

Went up the trail, you can get to about 4700' before consistent snow before the meadow. The silver creek trail junction is a good turnaround. Lots of blowdowns, cut 6-8 and moved several more out of some of the fun sections and cleaned up some trail debris here and there but there are at least another dozen that need a chainsaw. Only 1 or 2 are in fun descending sections, there is one key one in the first steep rooty section in a left switchback (when coming down from the alpine) that will surprise you. Creeks are running high as well. I'd give it 2 weeks for the loop. | Snow Covered | view | |
