Trail maintenance was done, and they tore up the West side of San Tan Trail. They put rocks, and loose dirt in all the ditches caused by runoff....

Is there any general consensus on which direction is best to run this trail? Clockwise or counterclockwise?

Clockwise. Some short fun downhill going clockwise. Counterclockwise has a rather steep uphill section.

Clockwise definitely has some fun rocky decents.
