SaveMount Tzouhalem Trail System is about 10 minutes from the centre of downtown Duncan. It is bordered by Cowichan Tribes land to the south, residential properties to the north and east and The Land Conservancy properties to the west. This hill is all about the All-Mountain bike, but a freeride or well climbing DH bike will do the trick too. There is slow technical singletrack, fast flow trails and several TTFs. The riding season is all year long with maybe a short break for the odd snowfall. The majority of trails are blue with some black diamond options. The views are epic from Rocky Mountain to the south west for sunsets. The Cowichan Trail Stewards manage the trails under a formal agreement with the Municipality of North Cowichan. This area saw the BC Bike race in both 2018 and 2019. Lots of variety here for the intermediate and advanced rider. Beginners may find suitable trails limited.
