Very scenic trail that gets little use. Highly recommended for its scenic vistas and lonely feel.

No deadfall, mostly dry and in ideal condition. Trail surface on the east side of the high point in super condition and mostly smooth overall despite equestrian use, seems rebuilt and machine cut. Trail on the west side of the high point not quite in as good condition but still highly navigable. Hardest point on the climb is the uphill gradient after the intersection with the Prairie Link Trail. Therefore, an e-bike is highly recommended if traveling westward beyond Prairie Link.

Therefore, recommended travel direction is east to west with a return via the Prairie Creek Trail west to east. You really don’t want to do this loop in the opposite direction. Climbing Prairie Creek from east to west is more of a black diamond level of difficulty whereas climbing Powderface east to west is medium difficulty. 		Variableview

Trail is running fairly well. A few wet spots where the creek has spilled over its banks (East of the gate), as well as where a few drainages cross the trail. These wet spots exist where the trail is predominantly gravel however, so there's no real mud to speak of. The new portion of trail is in excellent shape, and there's only one easily avoided soft patch pockmarked with hoof and tire prints. Variableview

Only rode a short section from bottom of Family Guy to Sulphur Springs. This bit was cleaned up this week and is now a lot friendlier to bikes. Still a tough slog but it’s all smooth now. Idealview
