Starts from the WBC South Bridge trailhead and climbs all the way up to the Bobcat/Strange Brew junction. Along the way, you cross Sundog Loop, Loggers and Snowy Owl trails and the Snakes & Ladders junction. At the 3.6km mark, there is a short spur to a great viewpoint.

At the start of the trail there is a steep intimidating looking climb - look out for a trail on your left about a quarter of the way up the climb that acts as an easier bypass.

This is probably the most common uphill route on the south side of the West Bragg parking lot. It is a 2-way trail, but is frequently combined with Strange Brew to form a loop (Goldilocks). In winter Strange Brew is groomed less that Ranger Summit so that riders can climb Ranger and descend Strange Brew through untracked powder. That's the plan anyway
