Some rutting has developed on the open southern section of this trail in the past 2 years since I last rode it which has the effect of slowing down the rider to avoid any accidents if traveling downhill. The forested northern section is just fine. Also the additional growth on the southern section is very noticeable as well over the last 2 years but where it's not obstructing travel as yet. Still a great ride. Dryview

Extremely muddy right now between Ranger Summit and Snowy Shortcut. Not recommended until it dries out more. I did not ride the balances of the trail. Snowy Shortcut is okay, though. As it was my 1st time on this trail, I have nothing to which to compare from any previous experiences on this trail. Snow Packedview

Lots of mud between Fullerton and viewpoint overlooking film set. Dry up to the summit. More mud near Iron Creek end. Variableview
