mtb TRAIL AUDIT 2026

- Direction and rating signs in place at entries.

- Trail Filter, (skill check), in place at entries.

- Gap jumps in place with B line options to avoid.

- Give way signs in place at fire trail crossings.

- Steepest section 47%, measured in the middle rock chute.

- Shortcut, 'French line', continues to form towards the bottom of the second block. This removes the chalanging corner section, which should be maintained to reward skilled riders. By placing a steeper berm here it will direct riders more to the left, detering them from shortcutting. A simpler solution would be placing a large non movable log in the parth.

- At the gap jump, at the bottom of the second block, it appears have been digging in the gap. This could become a hazard if it gets deeper, if people land short it could catch their front wheel resulting in a over handle bar crash.
Fill gap to original height and smooth.

- 'DROP' sign needs replacing at entry to last block.

- At end, people have been shortcutting back to the fire trail, despite efforts to block it with large logs. The fastest line is fully blocked, but another section needs a large non movable log to stop riders. The shortcut is ruening the main line, and its a steep drop onto a relatively busy fire trail with a blind corner which risks a collision with a vehicle.

- Signs in place notifying of direction and rating.
-Give Way signs in place before road crossings.

- Some sections in middle, on steep side slope, have exposed rocks and are very rough. Add soil in gaps to make smoother, and bring surface back in line width easy/intermediate rating.
-Switchback, about 1/3 up, has steep rocky climb on inside. Build up the ramp before it to make a smoother transition through the climb.
-Towards top of steep side slope section, there's a very steep trail section thats become rough with exposed rocks. Add more switchbacks here to extend club making less steep. Keep Rocky a line option open.
- Some damage at side of trail, towards top. Appears to be dug by pigs. Restore the trail section.

-fix lip edge of lander on gap lander. Add extra soil so it ramps back, this will make it safer someone lands short.
-add jump after gap jump.
-before road crossing, fix the setup for the berm. You hit it a bit square at the moment, build up the entry on the right so people can start railing it earlier, or push back the middle of the berm.

mtb Middle hand built section.
Hand tools required due to access.

-100m aprox of Rough eroded surface needs to be smoothed to meet green/Blue requirements. See photos.

-Switchback too steep for intermediate riders. Re-shape, or go further along the hill to add another switchback where it should be easier to build. Aprox 900m up trail. see photo.

-Steep section becoming very rough. Re-route to add more switchbacks. This will add length, reduce gradient which will make it easier to ride and reduce erosion.
Aprox 1.18km up, Located towards the end of the hand built section through the steep and rocky side slope.

-Switchback too steep for intermediate riders. Re-shape, move soil from upper section to lower section to reduce the height difference.
Aprox 1.8km up. reporter

mtb Trees down from the top road crossing to federal falls. I climbed over 5 trees before I couldn’t get past one just past the first bridge heading up.
The fire trail to the right heading up also has endless trees down, I gave up trying to go further.
Didnt try the fire trail to the left as a path to onwards and upwards.
Forgot to take photos, but it will definitely need a fair bit of chainsaw work.
Rest of galinbundinya has some minor sticks that I got sick of clearing but is otherwise running well
