Red Rock Crossing Details
The trail is a little less than 1/2 mile long and starts on the north end at the end of Red Rock Crossing Rd. The south end of the trail starts at the northeast side of the Baldwin loop trail. The trail is pretty intermediate in nature and travels on wide slickrock and somewhat sandy sections.
This crossing is very popular with the hiking community and the trail does not have a FS system status so there is no signage to keep you on track.
During periods of heavy rainfall or Spring snow melt periods the creek crossing is NOT PASSABLE. If you are not sure if Oak Creek is crossable you can check this link (http://water.weather.gov/ahps2/hydrograph.php?wfo=fgz
